I sent an email to the labout board askign a question. But they telephoned me back. Why didnt they email me?

Protocol of the office. It is best to speak directly to the person instead of playing email tag. Also, we never know who checks the email; especially if it is a work domain address.

I could spend 5 minutes on the phone answering your questions and making sure all your questions are answered or I could spend days trading emails with you.

My first choice would be seeing you in person at my office followed by a phone call. A distant third would be using the internet.
