2x + 2,450 - (2y - 8) = 10
2x + 2,450 - 2y + 8 = 10
2x - 2y = 10 - 2450 - 8
2(x-y) = 2 - 2450
2(x-y) = -2448
x-y = - 2448/2 = - 1224
x - y = - 1224
I think this should be your final answer

2x + 2450 -2y + 8 = 10

2x - 2y = 10 - 8 - 2450

x - y = -2448 / 2 = - 1224

What is probably expected is a simplification like the above. To find out x and y, we need two equations but have here only one.

2x + 2450 - ( 2y - 8 ) = 10
2x + 2450 - 2y + 8 - 10 = 0
2x - 2y = - 2440
x - y = - 1220
intercept : ( -1220 , 1220 )
slope = 1
