I agree. However, that's the way some people are. You have heard, Misery loves company. Also, unfortunately, some people think it's funny to hurt or upset other people. Don't worry yourself about them. If they know it gets to you. They will be worse. Enjoy your life to the fullest. Be happy with yourself despite what others may say or think. I try not to be like that. Some things like rapist, etc. are hard not to be judgmental over. I try to keep in mind they have one or more serious problems. Sometimes it helps. Other times, lol. I am trying to work on it.

That's too much like doing the right thing.
You also have a whole play of emotions at work. Jealousy is a major one. Selfishness, power and greed are others. it's easier to exploit someone if you think the other is inferior and sometimes it's just downright insanity or a cultural thing. Look at Africa,China,North Korea, The Middle East and some of South America. Life is cheap in all of those places. So many people have been killed and exploited for various reasons it's become a way of life and is almost normal for them. It's gone on for so long it would take nothing short of a miracle or the second coming to reverse the trend.

Sadly a thing called prejudice exists. It makes people both frightened and aggressive. It makes it difficult to see the others as their equal, and thus deserving of the same rights, courtesies, and opportunities.
If we could all just treat each other as a potential friend, there would be a lot more happiness in this world.

put it this way
1. first before complaining, practice what you preach
2. get self-worth and nothing negative and contradictive wont bother you know more
and 3. the world isnt as bad as we make it out to be.... negative news spreads 3 times quicker than the positive, focus on the positve, smile a lot and be happy in this beautiful world....
