Ahhh yes, beating The Man at his own game! I have written my wife 3 letters on different occasions to get her out of Federal jury duty. All legit though, each time, we had small children and she was nursing. If you have to go in on Monday, borrow the most active and hyper 2 year old you know. She had to go in for local cort jury duty a few months ago. I called and explained she was the primary caregiver of our 4 kids but they said she had to come in in order to be dismissed. Lady I talked to said, "I would bring all 4 of the kids to the courtroom with me if I were her." She was out within 30 minutes of reporting!

Voting and jury duty are your two most important civic duties. If it truly is a hardship, the attorney and judges will understand and hopefully let you go.

Be sick. Break a leg. Schedule an appoitment at the doctors/dentist. Disappear mysteriously and have the police investigate what happened to you for a while then mysteriously reappear and say that you were abducted by aliens.

Well you can get out of jury duty if you absolutely have a reason that you need to be home. like you have someone to take care of or something. Your kids can get you out of it, if you have any.

You need to come up with some freaky religious affiliation whereyou can not pass judgement on others or God will smite you....or simply act crazy and make loud bodily noises.
