I would like to know if ever convicted of misdemeanor crimes don't involve children would keep from getting liscensed as teacher forever? Would it also keep me from getting a government job? Is there a waiting period that needs to go by before I can apply? Will this dis enable my chances of ever getting any licensing such as cosmetology license, etc?
please can anyone help? This was an isolated situation that I had no prior convictions and was pretty much framed and lied on. Because I had no witneses on my behalf I could not prove my innocence. Can anyone please help, for I will not give up.
Thanks

It depends on the school's criteria and the state law. Misdemeanors usually do not bar you from a teaching job. Underqualified for the position is the usual stumbling block, followed by failing the drug screening process.

If it worries you this much, contact the bailiff's office for the judge who tried your case. Ask the bailiff if there is anything that can be done to wipe your trial from your record.
