I have a friend who was convicted of 2 counts DUI manslaughter and 2 counts Vehicular manslaughter. The coroner testified that the person that was killed instantly was the driver. My friend was unconcious for about 3 days, long enough for the other two people in his truck to be buried. He didn't know they were dead until a week later. The write up in the news paper said that there was a second vehicle but that person was never found and questioned.

Wait a minute. The driver died and your friend is up for the vehicular manslaughter? Was he driving a different vehicle? I cannot see where the DA got the idea to prosecute your friend unless he was somehow driving a vehicle involved in the accident.

You need to provide more detail before we can judge this one.

You friend was responsible for the deaths of those people by his irresponsible actions and by driving while drunk.... That is the evidence.

If there were evidence that he was not guilty, it would have been presented at trial and he wouldn't have been convicted.

I'm glad they convicted this low life. Drunk drivers kill 18,000 people a year in our country....shameful.
