Who has the most walks? Who still gets walks the most? All these guys you listed are great Home Run hitters and produce big numbers. You have to remember basebal is mainly about situational hitting. Ten years ago this question was asked to pitchers and the answer was Barry Bonds. I say the answer is still the same. In critical situations Barry Bonds is walked more times than any other batter in Baseball maybe in the history of the game. He leads ALL OF BASEBALL again this year in total walks. What does that tell you?

David Ortiz. He was the main reason why the Red Sox came back from being down 3-0 and beat the Yankees 4-3. He is probably one of the most clutch hitters in the game today. Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder are still young and haven't played in the league very long so they can be just as good as Ortiz within the next few years.

I've been watching Ryan and Prince develop, and so far I've been impressed with them, honestly though I think Prince is going to be another Adrian Beltre.
To answer your question, Ortiz, A-Rod and to some extent Bonds put fear into the pitchers, they have established themselves after many years. Ortiz with his clutch power, A-Rod with his amazing play since his rookie year, and Bonds for his slugging, as well as all his walks. I believe these are the hitters who make pitchers tremble the most.

it may b ryan howard but ill go with Big Papi because he has experience, he has come up in the clutch and he has been in every single situation possible. Right now Howard is striking out too much and there might b a case for Fielder being alot better than Howard this year, but Papi gets my vote!

I agree but 9th inning with the bases loaded or just having to pitch to him in a clutch situation, Ortiz is still the most feared by far.
