Try some funky new glasses (if you wear contacts) and a new drastic haircut halfway through the beginining of the school year and continue to update it (i.e. with layers and highlights, or even cool colors). Make sure you have a really cute messenger bag (for your backpack) too. Other than that it sounds like you have it covered!

Buy a lot of accessories in black, white, khaki, and either gold or silver:
shoes - different styles in each color
tights, hose, or socks [ depending on dress code ]
headbands, barettes, and other hair accessories
belts [ gold chain, pearls, black velvet, silver concha, etc.
jewelry - especially earrings or necklace, and bracelets or rings [ try some great crosses ala Madonna ]
get the most colorful, or girly-girl, or funky backpack you can find.
Can you:
roll you your sleeves?
wear leggings?
wear a lacy petticoat that peeps out underneath?
wear a camisole with shirt on top [ unbuttoned, but tucked in?]
Don't forget to wear makeup colors that will look good with
your 'yucky' colors - you may have to go a bit brighter or deeper in color.
P.S. Even if you don't get away with any of this, you will be famous for thinking outside the box!

1.white accessories- white pops against any navy blue you have to wear, and it adds a cool, mod feel.
2.leggings- they're a cute, less stuffy alternative to stockings.
3. head scarf- wear it in place of a headband. it adds a little 60's flair.
4. awareness ribbon- like breast cancer awareness ribbons. wear them on your skirt instead of your shirt.
5. patterned tote- get one with a funky pattern! you'll stand out a lot!
6. leg warmers- they look so adorable with those boring uniform shoes!
7. comfy sweater- a big, boxy top looks so cute with a miniskirt. it's a great contrast to all the girls who try to be sexy.
8. bold layering- layer a bright colored top under your uniform shirt. uniforms are plain, but this gets attention.
9. bracelets- stack your bracelets, it's kind of electic.
10. funky sneakers- they can show off your personality well!
And hey, good luck. My school might have to wear them, too!

The problem with all uniforms is that everyone is the same so I understand your need to stand out.
Though one tip is to not go over the top because you don' t want to look skanky!
You could go with a coloured eye liner, just a bit of mascara and maybe some interesting hair styles. Like pulling back the front section of your hair and pinning it back but making sure you boof it up. Don't be afraid to try different styles.

that really sucks....what about long sleeve shirts that are black or white with things on them? like skulls or flowers? would those work? also, when i was bartending, we had to wear similar colors. i got black pants, just as they requested, but i had them in many different lengths. bermuda shorts, Capri's...and then i had skirts (in different lengths also) that i wore with tights that were black, or white and had shoes that were different also. i like your idea about the earrings and headbands. esp the headbands! if you have to tuck your shirt in, try getting some colorful belts, the 'just for looks' kind, and not so much of the 'through the belt loops-holding my pants up' kind. good luck!!

Wear great belts. Wear shirts underneath. Wear bright jewelry. Play up the schoolgirl look with pleated skirts, tights and bright socks. Get amazing shoes. Carry cute bags. Do your hair in a crazy style, dye it wild if you're allowed and up to it. Don't be normal.

eons ago when i wore uniforms and needed to express my individual style, i wore fat shoe laces in checker board style with slouch socks. you could try argyle or some funky socks with loafers or oxfords, a blazer and a stylish newsboy hat. doc martens mary-janes or wing-tips are smart and chic with anything. you could also try a printed scarf tied around your head... the school would probably frown on you wearing this stuff while school is in session but before/after school, stand out in style!

Try some flats, belts, jewelry, bold but not costume makeup, and try to add like different types of scarves and sashes without crossing the line with your creativity.
Have fun!!;)
