Frankly i think the yanks still have a shot. You must not be a baseball historian thinking they are gone already, but signs aren't looking good for them right now. That being said, i think the Tigers or Red Sox make the series in the AL and I still believe the Mets will come around and make the series from the NL. At the beginning of the year, the Sox and Mets were my pick with the Sox winning in 6. Though, being a Tigers and Braves fan, i hope its those two in the series.

Jim Rome said earlier that if you think the Yankees are out of a playoff spot just because they're around 10 back you're mistaken. I'll believe they're out once they are completely mathematically eliminated. They've got too much talent there to not go on a run

Yeah well if I'm not mistaken there are about 80 games left and theres this thing called the wild card and so I would count the Yankees out just yet. They have come back before and they can do it again with their star power.

you would think after years of late season winning streaks people will learn never to count the yanks out. i'm not a yank fan, but don't count them out for a wildcard spot. as long as #2's on the teamn and #13's hot, their mediocre pitching will be compensated for.
