This is not meant to be racially offensive. My husband is Native American and we were discussing Cherokee Indians and how we have never seen anyone with facial hair, not even a moustache. Is this a cultural thing or do they not have the hair to grow? Would love to get an answer from a Cherokee and please no stupid answers, am asking a serious question not meant for a joke. Thanks so much!!

most men with a significant portion of american indian blood have little facial and body hair. a good friend who is bit over a quarter cherokee just started growing facial hair in a significant amount that wasn't super-patchy only a few years ago - when he was 33.
my roommate is about the same percentage and has very little body hair and has patchy facial hair - he's 30.

I am a woman and I have an unknown amount of Cherokee blood, I don't grow any body hair and I never have to shave my legs. I don't think my son can grow much facial hair, just spotty.

Most today have mixed with other races and develop the dark and course facial hair. Many different tribes of full blooded Native Americans dont grow thick and dark facial hair, just very fines stuff like "peach fuzz"

It can be grown, but the problem is that you can see every whisker. Being clean shaven is highly advised.
