Just curious on how much do east indian marriages in Canada end up costing on an average from the guy's end. I guess there is no upper limit but what budget range would consistute a simple yet worth while east indian marriage?

Yes, to save face one must put on a good show. These people are ostentaious for cultural reasons, and circusy to me.

Depends on how much it will be to import the elephant. They usually last only 1 day here as it is so cold but if you knit them a sweater they could last for weeks. Note that East Indian marriages are usually performed naked in Canada.
