Most accommodation places in NZ have electric blankets so no need for a hot water bottle.

However if you want a hot water bottle they can be bought in supermarkets for a few dollars.

No, most hotels with not provide hot water bottles, but most of the hotels there have great heating systems and also some have electric blankets. Just call the hotel ahead of time and they will let you know what they provide.

No, none do.
However, you can buy them cheap enough,- only a couple of dollars.
All hotels will have electric blankets on their beds. Do NOT use a hot water bottle on a bed fitted with an electric blanket, it's a shocking thing to do.

No. However the standard sheep that comes with every room warms the bed quite nicely.

Even if the hotel does not supply them, hot water bottles are the sort of cute, archaic thing that NZ does well and I am sure you will be able to buy one.
