Hey while he's giving pardons to mass murderer boosters, why not Mr. Helter Skelter himself ?

Scooter Boy used blackmail to promote the killing of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, and US soldiers.

Even psychopaths like Manson don't kill for oil.

Libby didn't hurt anyone , nor did he profit from anything ..however Bill Clinton pardoned quite a few crooks & criminals - including murdering FALN members who terrorized New York with 130 bombs in the 70's & 80's .Many times Mrs. Clinton passed Bill the requests for these pardons as the "go between". But for the grace of God , Bill Clinton didn't pardon mass murderers - but those FALN bombs could have easily killed the masses ..and do not forget , Mr. Clinton refused Osama bin Laden's capture from the sudanese ..and thousands were killed on 9/11 . Scooter libby is small potatoes when you are talking about murder . If there would have been votes for Mrs. Clinton - or money in it - you can bet Charles Manson would have been on the loose before the end of the Clinton White House .

Bill Clinton granted over 400 pardons on his last day in office, some for murders. He must have been busy, what with pardons and the intern at the same time. Scooter Libby and Charles Manson are hardly on the same level.

First of all, Shrub didn't pardon Libby, he only commuted the sentence -- meaning, the judgment stands, but Libby doesn't have to serve the prison time, because the sentence handed down is "too harsh" for someone with his political connections (anyone else, especially anyone NOT connected to the Shrub in some way, would have to serve the prison term and pay the fine as handed down by the judge).

Second, this whole thing serves to illustrate just what the Shrub stands for: Truth, Justice and the American Way, but only for his closest buddies -- and Justice in this case means a free "get out of jail" card. The rest of us are on our own. Yet another example of the Powerful looking out only for their own butts.

And certain Uber-Patriots complain that Clinton got away with a slap on the wrist....

Let me get one thing straight. Charles Manson was never convicted of Killing anyone nor has he ever admited to it. He is in jail because he ordered the killings. He is in jail because of his state of mind. He is nuts. Plain and simple. He wouldnt do society or himself and favours if he was released. He is by his own admition Institutionalised. Manson has prooved at all of his parol hearings that he cannot be put back into the world.

I don't think I like your suggestion. Could you try another, please. How about: commute Scooter, severely thrash William Jefferson with viscous rhetoric? Salute Duke Cunningham, say mean things about the size of Sen. Clinton's legs. This could be a fun game. Let's try it again.

The President can pardon anybody and the choice of the people to whom he wants to extend this executive clemency exclusively belongs to the president.

its hard tom ake the analogy but I see your point Injustice is injustice Maniac killers get their punishment Distinguished educated persons who make vitla decisions and contribute to national policiy that determines wars or no wars are also punishable Just a different version- betraying the public safety- and betraying the public trust in ways that have far reaching damaging results for years and years to our country ,its reputation and our future safety, if not directly determining who lives or dies..
