do you actually mean loud like, LOUD, or loud as in they are more willing to strike conversation than a shy person?
It really depends I guess. Some shy people can be a wealth of information just because they can be a fly on the wall and no one gives a second thought. But there are others who are shy but are too concerned with themselves (think they have bad breath, believes they have a funny voice, feel dumb or maybe even are dumb).
Well really, a loud or talkative person can be similar. They can be a font of knowledge, book smart, fact savy, johnny-on-the-spot, or they could just be prattling on because they are too concerned with themselves. (Pay attention to me!!, if I add to the conversation somehow, people might think I'm smart or funny)

Usually, I respect a shy person more. Loud mouth people get on my nerves.

A quiet person doesn't necessarily mean they are shy, it may be that they just enjoy listening to others. A loud person usually wants to be the center of attention. I prefer the quiet person more.

Usually the shy person, because the loud person is generally more abrasive and doesn't think as much before speaking.

actually, a small amount of both kinds of people is a exotic flair , this will make you have a very zesty personilaty and be very successful, for example a shy person would be a good person to have for keeping secrets or in that genre, a loud person would be good if you wanted to apply for a job or in that genre, hope this hepled, sinead
