When they have grown big enough to eat larger food, it's time to feed them newly hatched Brine Shrimp which you will feed them, with a spoon for easier feeding, until they can eat regular Betta food.
Now that they have grown to a size you have see what gender they are. It's time to cull down your new Bettas. Get rid of the unhealthy Bettas and if you don't want any of the healthy Bettas contact your local pet shop and see if they would like a donation of healthy Bettas, for cash, or store credit. Keep only the Bettas you have room for and that you like and breed them. Remember females can be held together in one tank, just remove the "bully" female if they fight. Also, separate the males into separate jars or partitioned containers.
1. How old are your babies? You know what, just give'em small amount of food everyday if they are new Born's. 'Coz they need the nutrients to grow. But don't feed them too much 'coz then they'll die.
To know if u babes had enough food just see if they swim around excitedly. If they do, then giver a bit more 'Coz they are hungry. Beta are not like tropical fish, they are sometimes silly as goldfish 'coz they don't know a thing to control their appetites.
2. Change water frequently, but not using any equipment. U need to take the old dirty water from the tank & re-fill it with fresh water. Don't use equipmets 'coz they give off too much heat that are bad 4 ur fish. Even though no 1 says the equipments are like this but they do have this bad effect.
Fresh new water contains oxygen & oxygen helps ur fish get energetic & active. They do excercises more often as u change fresh water 4 em. That way, u won't be afarid that they get fat

I seperate mine when they are large enough to sex or when I see one picking at the others. I have some fry that is just a little over 9 weeks old. Some are very small and some are very large. I have seperated them so the smaller ones does not become a snack and they can continue to grow.

When you can tell the gender, what I read on one site is, you can tell the gender then when the males start flaring against the others, that's a sure sign that it is a male and trys to get his territory
Hope that helps
Good luck and congrats

Once they are large enough to tell the males from females, separate them based on sex. You need dot separate the males into bowls as they will not fight much at all as long as you keep them together.
