no problem, well... your right and left split will be MUCH easier to get because it's just a matter of stretching your hamstrings and hip flexer. whereas center splits or straddle has a lot to do with bone structure(so i have noticed) if you have more of a pear shape(heavier in the hips/thighs) it will be MUCH harder to get your middle splits but it is still possible.

OK what to do in either case:
DO THIS EVERYDAY. as much as you can whenever you think about it.
YOU NEED TO BE WARM!15-20 warm up. or do this after your dance class or practice. do not stretch when your muscles are not warm. This may cause injury(strain, pull, tear, etc.)
Hold right split for 30 seconds. Start standing up and slowly slide toward the floor with one hand on each side of the leg in front. go as far as you can KEEPING BOTH LEGS STRAIGHT. if you bend either, you've lost the stretch. keep your hips -what we call- square. (facing foward, evenly, dont let them open up) take a deep breath and when you exhale take the stretch further. it's ok for you muscles to shake a little. AND THEY WILL! HOLD FOR 30 SECS AGAIN repeat on the LEFT. do this i'd say 4 or 5 times

middle splits, this is the toughie for SOOOO many girls. you need to practically eat sleep live study in the middle splits...ok maybe not sleep. but when you are talking on the phone, reading a book, that is a perfect time to stretch. the BEST way i have learned to get these splits is to again start standing but now with your back to a wall. same thing, slide down legs straight. on to your hands, elbows if you can. inhale ,exhale ,hold 30 repeat reapeat. the wall is to make sure you are not to far forward or back. keep your bunz against the wall.

GOOD LUCK. YOu can totally do it.

I can't help you on the strattle, but I have both of my right and left splits. Stretch really good, concentrating on the back of your thighs. Then go into the split and hold it for as long as you can, while holding yourself up with your hands.(you don't want to pull a muscle) Then stretch some more and repeat the process until you touch the floor completely.(watching t.v. helps so you won't be bored) Once you get the split good, hold it for a while until it starts to hurt. Stretch every day and practice your splits every day or you will lose your flexibility. I guess try doing the same thing for your strattle. Good luck!

What happens if you do not have them?

Just keep stretching every day, several times throughout the day.

I wish you good luck!
