What is it? It feels like my knee needs to pop but I can't do anything about it. And it's a little swollen. Hurts when I bent it and put weight on it. What is it that is making it hurt? and should I put ice on it or heat? THanks!

You'll probably have to get the swelling down first to see if
it can be a dislocated knee cap or a pulled muscle. Maybe
you overstressed from too much exercise. Or maybe used
the wrong shoes which will put more stress on a part of your
instep and will affect the muscles in your legs up to the knee.
Yes, of course put an ice pack on it. A frozen bag of peas or
another veg. that is flexible to wrap around your knee. Do it
for ten minutes and then remove it. Re freeze the package
and put it back on several times a day. Also take something
to serve as an anti inflamatory which will help with swelling
also. If pain worsens and the swelling will not go down, visit
your ER for a consult and treatment. Most likely it's just a
muscle that will require resting it elevated for a day or maybe
two. It depends on your recooperative powers.

Of path you'll. Things like "Runner's Knee" or "Tennis Elbow" have been named best on the grounds that they so much as a rule arise in runners or tennis avid gamers, however they are fairly not anything greater than usual names. According to WebMD, "Runner's knee is not fairly a situation itself. It's a free time period for a couple of distinctive problems with distinctive reasons"

You probably just stressed it out from running then slamming down causing your knee to take a big blow. This is what happened to me. You could try ice and heat but it didn't work at all for me. It really gets in the way for me since I lift weights. Just take it easy on your knees and they will most likely heal.

sounds like you could have injured your meniscuss. this can sometimes heal itself if it is not too torn but sometimes needs arthoscopic surgery. an orthopedic or sports injury specialist would be the best kind of dr to go see. i wouldn't wait too long because you could injure the knee more if is too serious to heal on its own
