I like "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, and any book by Ernest Gaines. The "His Dark Materials" series is pretty good too.

"Brave New World" was great!

I love "To Kill a Mockingbird". "East of Eden" and "Of Mice and Men" by Steinbeck are wonderful, too! I am in love with S.E. Hinton's "The Outsiders". I really like Stephen King. My favorite book of his is "The Stand". His short story collections are awesome, too.

Agree with the Huxley and Salinger books. Both minor classics.

Dostoyefsky's "Crime and Punishment" is one of the great crime novels ever written, a psychological study of a crime and the spirittual evolution of the criminal.

George Orwell's two terrif novels, "1984" and "Animal Farm" are must reading. Recent events in the USA seems to put "1984" much closer. Scary

And still like Farrell's "Studs Lonigan," about growing up in a poor Irish family in early 20th century Chicago. Great realism.

For some reason I like To Kill A Mockingbird and Kira Kira. I like how they are just normal people and how they aren't some naturally overpowered people who are the key factor of the story. I really like books where the main character isn't the main character and the main character is like a follower to the older people and looks up to them. Yeah but if they were turned into movies I don't think I would watch it.

For some reason I hate reading science fiction, mystery, while I actually like watching it while I like reading stories without a real plot or not a big plot but I hate watching them.

My favorite book is "Swan Song" by Robert McCammon. My favorite books overall are written by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child. They write books with certain recurring characters, locations, and ongoing storylines, but they have a few stand-alones, as well as books they've written individually. They wrote "The Relic" from which a movie was made. The sequel, "Reliquary," is one of my top ten books. Their recurring character FBI Special Agent Pendergast has become somewhat legendary for his quirky genius and mysterious past. Excellent stories.
