I was talking with a lady friend earlier and she said that recieving a single red rose is more romantic than recieving a dozen red roses, she said that your putting all your feelings in the one rose... but I argued that with a dozen she was recieving 12 times the amount... whateverrrrr... So which one do you think is more romantic, and why?, thank you in advance ladies.

Less is more. A single rose makes me think that I'm the only woman in his heart. But some women would rather have a dozen roses, and they are usually high maintenance.

A dozen roses signify you are romantically interested in someone. It could mean, be my valentine, please go out with me or even you were great last night. A single rose means I love you. What you should do is get 11 roses delivered then show up with the last one in hand. That's romantic and gives your girl the best of both worlds!

Both are very romantic...my best friend has a thing about roses in a box... idk why but to her the best thing ever is a dozen roses in a box.I agree with your argument about it being 12 times the amount..but I'm a woman and they don't make sense to me half the time either..lol.I would appreciate either or..but I think the dozen is more romantic.Or a single rose and a poem or letter you wrote..its not about the monetary value..(roses are expensive). To alot of us its the gesture not the expense of it. Good question.=)

Well, they are both romantic. But usually a single rose means " one love" so that is why a single rose is a little bit more romantic than a dozen.

I would prefer the single rose. It's simple and sweet. Besides, a dozen roses smells really bad after several days!

1 rose is the best! I like flowers .. but not 12 of them.. what would i do with a huge vase of roses that are going to die! 1 rose is more sentimental.. speaks more volume...

A dozen is, a single rose would make me think he's cheap.

I would actually consider any amount of flowers to be romantic if a guy gave them to me. Although, personally...if I received my favorite colored rose, that would impress me more than a run-of-the-mill red one...'cause it would show that he cared enough to think of what I would truly like.

Neither.. I'm not big on flowers and especially not roses. I think the most romantic thing someone can do is something that happens spontaneously and without cause.

I enjoy a bouquet of roses on special occassions like my birthday or anniversary. But a single rose, hand delivered for no special occassion suggests romance to me.
