I am going to start college in the fall and am looking for a laptop. I need something that's got good battery life, a good resolution screen, used mostly for websurfing email wordprocessing, and ocasionally be able to play C&C (dx10),
Please supply a manuf w/ model number, and if possible configure it and send the final review after so show me what to put. (Oh yeah and a 2-3 yr warranty with accident protection is a must) looking to spend around $1800 in total

As far as i can tell you you probably cant find one with great resolution and be able to buy it for 1800 but you can probably check out dell pc's you can customize your own and they will tell you the price just tell them what you are looking for and they can tell you. :)

I'll tell you which one not to buy, IBM thinkpad 600. There are no extra's with it. You can't even do disk copy with it And the memory is real low.
