Im thinking of purchasing the new Wing cell phone from T-mobile. Can i just switch sim cards when i get to the Phillipines?Or will it need to be unlocked there? And can i contact T-mobile for the unlock codes if i need them?

You can go to t-mobile and ask them for an international sim card, and you pay for the minutes you use, which are sometimes high depending on where you are going in asia.

You cannot get a different card once you get to the phillipines because your phone is locked to a US carrier.

The phone can be unlocked anywhere. There are places online where you send in your phone and they will unlock it, though I am not quite sure how trust worthy they are. There is a slim chance that you will be able to go to T-mobile and get them to unlock your phone. They may make you pay for the unlocking code, or they may not allow you to do it at all, all of this depending on that customer service representative.

GOOD LUCK!
