My co-worker was telling me about it... Did it come out in theaters? Was it good? Where could I find this movie now because the way she described it, it sounded like something interesting to watch.

..."2001 Maniacs" is a pretty unusual, bloody and bizarre film...very poignant, gory and dark humored; it is a remake of the self-proclaimed 'Godfather of Gore' Herchell Gordon Lewis' 1964 film, "Two-Thousand Maniacs", and it starred the 'dream demon' himself, Robert England!!!
...for a most ghoulishly fun experience, I would recommend both the remake, and the original; the remake should be readily available at your local video store, and the original might be just a bit harder to find.
The film was released directly to video, and as a result of the film's growing fan base, there IS an imminent sequel, soon to be released (October 30th), and entitled "2001 Maniacs: Beverly HELL-billys".
...get set for a most horrifically giddy good time!!!

I LOVED THAT MOVIE! IT WAS A STRAIGHT TO VIDEO MOVIE, NOT RELEASED IN THEATERS! IT STARRED ROBERT ENGLUND, ONE OF MY FAVORITE HORROR ICONS! U SHOULD DEFINITELY RENT IT, IT IS REALLY CREEPY WITH A F--CKED UP ENDING!
