tears are good for us .it has many uses
(1) it predictes emotions
(2) it protects our eyes from dust
(3)The protective antibodies that fight bacteria are also washed away.
(4)A lacrimal gland tumor is a in the glands that secrete tears.

Tears keep the eyes clean and lubricated. Without tears, your eyes will feel dry and burn. When a foreign object like a dust particle falls in the eye, tears are secreted so that the particle gets washed off.

tears also may contain the stress hormones leucine-enkephalin, acth, prolactin...
that's why you may feel better after a good cry--you've flushed these accumulated hormones out of your system.
