We had a seafood feast---shrimp and crablegs. Then mud pie. And fireworks. Then the mosquitoes feasted on me!

Had most of the family at a BBQ. (Members from our family of 4 generations). We have quite a diverse, open family. So it was steak for some, hot dogs for some, and grilled portabella mushroom sandwiches for some. With side dishes that all of us could share, with the dietary beliefs and medical restrictions considered. Cake, watermelon, and fireworks. For us its just a reason to get together and have a good time. Thanks for asking.

No BBQ. I did buy a hotdog at the flea market. Had a steak & potato salad tonight, but steak was done on the stove.

It was a nice day. Good parade, nice flea market. Could not see the fireworks thru the fog tonight.

I did nothing, so far - but tonight, I'm ready to fight the pasture fires!!! I still hear all the neighborhood kids shooting off their fireworks and this makes me VERY nervous with all the dry grass and parched landscape.
I did cook something rather "unique" for supper JUST BECAUSE I CAN. :-')
I prepped a stew (I seasoned all the fixin's with the veggies and meats as I would cook it in the pan, BUT I used my grill instead!
(S-H-H-H-H! I used a cooking technique that only my Grandmother claims to using when she steams salmon.)
I try cooking with my grill because it is still *New* and I am cooking everything simply for the experience! D=:-) <-Do you like my Chef's Cap?

Egg plant and peppers and zucchini and carrots and sweet potatos and onions and ... Oh yeah, there was some funky tasting chicken.

Has anyone seen the cat lately?
