Just installed a boost gauge on my 2004 wrx. I have never seen a boost gauge on a car before so i want to check its working correctly. When the car idle's the gauge shows im pulling a vaccum but when i hit the throttle it jumps past zero to around 10 psi at full throttle. Is that working correctly?

Sounds like stock boost pressure and at idle 15 to 18 inches vacuum. That is how it works. Now to bleed off some air from the waste gate boost pill in the vacuum hose or boost controller and give that car about 15 to 17 psi and only use the best gasoline.

You can put a gauge wherever your imagination decides it can go. I have seen gauges in place of the stereo, in the glove box, in the air vents, to name a few. I believe the three easiest places to install a gauge would be in the driver's side A pillar, on the dashboard in place of the stock clock, and on the steering column. I have the boost gauge in my WRX on the steering column, just in front of the tach

It sounds like you don't have a firm grasp on how a turbo works. Or what a boost gauge measures. Or what boost is.

10 psi is a little low. If stock, it should be ~13.5 psi.
