I would actually reconsider on both names, as they both contain the word "anus". The boys may be teased quite a bit.

They are abit close, however if your sister like the name Angus and is having a boy then she kinda has the right to use it as you don't have a boy yet. You may never even have a boy then you both miss out. She should use the name she likes and latter if you have a boy and you still like the name Magnus worry about it then, lol, you never know you may change your mind about the name by the time your boy is born and if you still did like the name it probably doesn't really matter that much they are still different names. Also when they are around each other you could just call Angus Gus that way they are different and won't get confused. Anyway good luck to your sister and good luck to you in the future.

I don't think there that close. Besides, by the time you have a son, Angus will have developed his own personality and people will be use to identifying him with that name.

Where on earth did she get those names from? Angus is a type of cow! YIKES! She needs to think about what the other kids in school will say about his name when he is in the fourth grade and higher. Parents don't think about those things when they name their kids. But to each his own. I am wondering if "Angus" would have chosen that name for himself? EWWW!!!! Why not name the kid holstein, guernsey or Scottish highlander? That's original!

I don't like either of those names, and think the kids would get teased a whole lot!
Yes, they are very similar sounding.

They are pretty similar. Sometimes, you just don't know until you have to say it a lot. Like my cousins are Kelly and Kelsey and when you have to say them both it's kinda difficult.
