I do think historians will look back on the modern media that gave us Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, Terrell Owens, Anna Marie Smith and other idiots their fame; with disgust.

Our media gives us content that plays to the worst human instincts.Yes, that includes tv, radio, movies, newspapers and magazines. None of them respect us.

I don't think so. However, I think that Paris's jail sentence will go down in history as a sad commentary on the attitudes prevalent in early 21st century America. People were willing to allow a young woman to be sentenced to an excessive jail term (and even cheered it on), merely because they didn't like hearing about her on the television sets that the government uses for propaganda. A normal person would have gotten a fine or merely 1-3 days in that socialist hellhole they call a jail, instead of having 23 days of their life stolen from them for exercising their inalienable right to drive a car they own on a road they pay for without a piece of government paper.

Its a sad commentary on what is supposed to be a free country that people go to jail who have never harmed anybody else.

If the future historians look at Paris Hilton's history as a reference to our time and culture then they will consider us to have been a very primitive and dumb race.

since there is nothing of historic significance in Paris' life or actions and she has done nothing, I would say her 15 minutes has been over for some time, she just doesn't know it yet. I can't imagine she will be remembered for much of anything at all.

They will think we were nuts for making such a fuss over her. Yes when you drink and drive you should be punished but our infatuation with all things Paris is sick. We should get lives of our own.

I think it will rank right up there with the sad tale of Jean Harlow.

What, don't tell me you've never heard of Jean Harlow. EVERBODY knew Jean Harlow.
