exactly. be thankful you have a 4th of july to celebrate, some places dont have any holiday for freedom because they've never gotten it. be thank ful that while you might be craving a hotdog, some people are craving even a small bowl of rice. be thankful that though you are on the computer, and know what tehcnoligy is, some people are running from the bad kind of technoligy used in wars and using computers to navigate escape routs from bombs. be thankful that your safe at home, and be thankful it will stay that way.

Sorry i kind of just had an Oprah moment didnt i? lol. well anyway, happy fourth of july. may the rest of it be greatt =]

My name is leah, too, and I am doing the same thing! Every year since I was three I would see fireworks on the 4th of July, but now I'm doing nothing!

Sure - be thankful for the nation's independence and all the freedoms that you have that others have fought and died to protect.

This video should cheer you up - it's from a famous comedian named Red Skelton - with an incredible performance of the pledge of allegiance - very patriotic!

Hey me too. My dad flat out said no this year, i don't understand why.

I worked today, i guess I saw friends, but thank you for being another one so the fireworks i can't see but are making noise right out my window don't make me feel quite so bad... on one of the few holidays i actually like celebrating conventionally :(

Ahh, don't worry my Independence day wasn't att all great.
The fireworks scared my dog when I took him for a walk, he went crazy and some lady yelled at me after I had fallen and scraped my face.
I choked. My Ipod broke.
But I guess we all have something to be thankful for :)

I went to work today and didn't do anything special either.

Of course, I celebrated Canada Day with games at a friend's house this past Sunday.
