Do you have a creek or river near by that you could sit at for fifteen minutes a day every day. And any one who tells you meditation is easy is a fool, It takes time to learn just like any thing else. You say you can't meditate at home, Is that because of privacy? Because to do it in public will be just as difficult, Try getting a CD of sounds of nature, Such as running water with birds and such. That might help you to calm your mind no matter where you decide to do it. If you are just starting it is best if you can do it the same time every day. And most people will tell you to clear your mind of thoughts, That's all good and all but it isn't going to happen but you can learn to slow them down. And if you concentrate on one thought like UM or LOVE or what ever your word is that helps you to relax and calm your mind your doing good.

I'm sorry, I have no contacts in New Jersey.
I live across the country and cannot help, personally.

I suggest a few walks to the nearest store on spirituality, avoid the fliers, ask the book store owner.
