No guess again the into price has increased due to the demand they have actually moved the camaro above the monte Carlo and with a 405 hp engine can you blame then. 2nd they are only doing two models for 09 coupe and convertible starting at 40,995 It's worth it cause like you I've bben saving up since 02 when they stopped them. I knew they were gonna bring it back with a bang. I've got dman near 20 to put down on one and I hope they push it until i get my raise

Since they haven't even announced the engine packages yet, I'd say that this question is almost impossible to answer. The car is using a brand new chassis (Zeta platform, no longer an F-body) for starters. There are just far too many question marks on it right now to say it is "worth buying." I can tell you my take on it though. Since I have the knowledge and know-how to work on my own cars, a few mechanical bugs don't concern me too much, if there are any. I will be picking up a black SS as soon as it is released.
Ultimately, you just have to decide for yourself. Think of it like the release of the new iPhone. Initial reviews will be all good, and it will take time for any flaws to be discovered. You just have to decide if you want to be part of the initial rush on them, or wait until the real feedback starts coming in.

I own a 2006 pontiac GTO same motor more power same transmissiom as the 45k car and the same platform. Although not as retro modern and it looks like a grand am but barks like a corvette. I would give the new car a couple of years to get the wrinkles worked out and customer feedback to do its job. Try a austrialian built 400 hp 400 lb torque car on for size. I have had mine 12,000 miles and 14 months and no problems at all. For only 32,000 get one before they are all gone

how do you know how much the cars going to cost???
my answer is though im waiting for the convertable. I have a t-top 2002 right now..
when it starts reaching 45k its time to start comparing its performace with the vettes and see if its really a good value though compared to the vette...
otherwise, yes, in the first year the convertable is available im either buying the camaro or a corvette...

Take it from someone who purchased a new Chevy concept that was over $50K....youll regret it ....and it will cost you between 5% and 10% to your lawyers when you have to sue GM for your money back. Buy foreign....better built and better quality cars....cars that will actually last longer than their warranties.

that is a lot of money to put in to a car,I'm waiting to see it ,i probably wont buy one, even though i really like camaro,s a lot,i think it might be a little over priced, they said they was going to price it with in what a mustang or a comparable car like it would cost.but that is to much money for a car,its up to you,if i was going to buy one though, i would get the nicest model they build, you only live once, enjoy it, if your going to go in debt, get the nicest one you can, good luck hope this helps.

Get the base and you can customize it the way you want...there will be strong aftermarket parts for it.
