The closest acknowledgement I've seen of British feelings on this topic was revealed in Tokyo back in the late 1960s. The staff of their embassy had been invited to our embassy for the Independence Day festivities. As one approached the British Embassy, one saw a small, neatly engraved sign on the shuttered gates: "Closed due to circumstances beyond our control".

nah, don't think so
The USA signed the declaration of independence on this day in 1776 from the British so I don't think that the British will have any reason to celebrate.

PS. I frankly think u should work on your spellings. How do u survive with this kind of English??
