No. I do have a few tricks I use to help me. When I meet someone new and they tell me their name I say repeat it either out loud or to myself, preferably out loud. Saying it helps you to remember it better.
I also look at the person and see if there's anything about their appearance I can associate with their name. Like if their name is Renee and they have red hair I'll think of the 2 R's in red and Renee and remember it that way.

I some times connect them with other people I know with that name or pick a word that rhymes with the name or a book with a character with the same name. That helps me but I'm just really bad with names!
Just to put this out there ... it doesn't matter much if you have a good memory... I happen to have a great one... I can remember details from like 6 years ago... I can remember all the books I read in like first grade in detail and faces that I've only seen once when I was like 2 years old... I remember direction's extremely well ... I've been able to get to all my family's house's (there is like 30 house's all across PA) since I was about 1.5 years old... No lie... my mom and dad were creaked out about it ... so don't feel stupid or forgetful just cause you have a hard time with names.

Sometimes. I don't really have any tricks but I usually go through the alphabet and say different names that begin with the letters and try to come up with the name

I deal with hundreads of people a day and they always seem to remember the magic guy. Here are a couple of tips.
Try using their name in the next three sentences and more if you need it.
Try asosiating a physical feature e.g. John, cute nose, Amy, great eyes.
and if that doesn't work I'm sorry Jen... Ha ha

Associate that person with someone else I know, or a word that would rhyme with their name. My step daughters boyfriend's name is Josh. Do you think I can ever remember his name???? I came up with the rhyme words, and I can't even remember them.
