She is making a statement...
notice that it says perfect... this is a double meaning... she is saying that she is too good for most people...
and the fact that she is wearing panties instead of a thong, shows that she isnt afraid of showing what she is wearing, that she doesnt have to wear sexy clothes to be sexy...
I like her... I think she is hot, with or without the weird trends she goes through...

It's the Skater thing. Most of us go around with the band of our underwear sticking up above our pants. I, however, don't. I don't want people knowing I wear cheap boxers.

yes her underwear are showing. It was the style she was trying to emit. The whole grunge/skater look. Personally I don't like it, but she pulls it off well.

If you ask me I would say that Avril is more Pop than Punk. She's really starting to lose her way. She's getting all wrapped up into the Hollywood life and she's starting to forget who she is and just becoming what's easy. Her newest album is lacking in lyrics and I think she's just a little burned out.

it is just a style. Just like bell bottoms in the 70's or punk hair in the 80's.

good question. I think it was her style back when she started out, the whole punk/skater thing.

It is real. Look carefully into the eyes, you'll see it is Avril's light-blue color, cannot be mistaken.

Not too cool. If people were only aware where that trend got started -- they'd forget about it. It started in prison. It is a signal to the other inmates regarding their "availability!"
