Bring your new partner. Nothing is wrong with that. Now do you know the couple because of your ex? if this is the case, be aware that he might get an invitation separately later and you'll see him there with maybe a new partner.
I would think that if the couple is on your side, he might not get an invitation, but either way there might be this risk.
Are you ready and up to this? meaning that you'll see him there. Will you behave and respect your new partner?

I'm going to a wedding a week from this Saturday and the thought of inviting someone wasn't on my mind. There's nothing wrong with going to a wedding alone. I think society has conditioned us to think if you're single you are automatically lonely. I don't automatically buy into that anymore. If couples think that way to me it's their problem that mine.

I would bring a guy friend that I know I;d have a good time with if I really wanted a "date". If not, I'd probably bring my sister, as she's one of my best friends and all that jazz.

^You can bring someone if you want. If I didn't want to go alone I would bring a male friend. As long as you tell them how many are coming, it's okay.

Maybe alone, but I would tell the bride/groom in advance, so they wouldn't pay extra for a person who's not coming.

My BFF, Nash! She's great fun and we'll create a scandal by having people talk how they think we're a couple :D
