The husband and I both loved it!

I think it's the best movie I've seen in quite a while, and is the best one this summer, so far.

The action scenes were intense, the acting was good for the "newcomers" (Shia and Megan), and the CG was some of the best CG I've ever seen.

They did a great job modernizing the robots, without making them too cheesy, the jokes were funny, the "sily" scenes were funny, but the best part, the action, was awesome! I'm hoping for a sequel.

I was surprised that I actually liked a Michael Bay film more than with just a passing interest. The Island and Armageddon were okay, but this was actually, really good. I thought hell had frozen over when I walked out of the theater. The robots were funny, and Shia kicked *** with his acting. Megan's character really didn't have too much of a point for me, other than typical love interest, but she was nice to look at.

This movie did not make any sense at all and was a waste. The only thing that had anything remotely good was the transforming robots. The storyline stank. Oh I need my great grandfathers glasses on ebay. I bought a second hand car and picked up a girl, which has ignored me through high school. Look transforming cars, planes etc. It seems to me that the transformers movie was used to target a certain stereotype. Also alot of the context would have been inappropriate for young viewers who expect to see these giant robots.
Once again Hollywood has stuffed up a classic anime series.

Man I LOVED it, and as a die hard fan of the old cartoons and the Dreamwave comics, I really wasn't expecting a good incarnation. Also I agree w/ you about Shia his acting was pretty good and I couldn't think of a better person to play the Spike/ Sam Witwicky role. Also I LOVE the fact that they used Optimus Prime's original voice! Took me straight back to 1984.

Best action flick I've seen in QUITE a while.

I saw it TWICE!!! To me, Transformers just broke the barrier when it comes to making robots that interact well with humans. The awesomely human-like behaviour of the Autobots, the cool action scenes, fast but cool transformations and the god-like Optimus Prime took my breathe away! Absolutely the best movie this year. No one could ask for a better live adaptation of a cartoon, especially one that we used to love.

I loved it! I grew up playing with the original first generation Transformers in 1984. So this Movie was like seeing my childhood come to life. And yes I'm hoping for a sequel.

I love how they had all the original robots, and they definetly set it up for a sequel, probably using the next gen autobots and deceptacons.

Just, why did Megatron die? Or did he????

Hey Blaze, your review sucks. Also, it is not anime, because anime is pointless, the Transformers are a good American cartoon.

Agree with all your comments. Only thing I dislike is Bay's constant usage of military music (ala The Rock) for almost every scene.
