Just because I like both genders doesn't mean I ignore gender. I hate when people say bisexuals "look past gender" because I *don't*. Gender definitely matters to me.
That said, I don't know what the future holds for me, but if I end up in a long-term same-sex relationship, I think I'd be significantly less motivated to have children than if I'm in a heterosexual relationship. I'm not sure why, but there it is.

I'm bisexual. I was never 'just looking for someone to be with' I just never noticed or cared what gender a person was. I find people attractive. Her smile, his abs, the hot guy or girl walking down the street, the gender just kicked in afterwards for me.
As for wanting of children. It doesn't matter what you are, I personally wanted children. I'm never going to have any and I don't wish to adopt. My partner's and my's life just wouldn't fit children so we have dogs instead.
I also even still sometimes want a guy. My partner's smaller then I am and I miss the way my boyfriends used to hold me, or the way a guy's body feels.

Well, I am a bisexual woman, and I enjoy both genders very much. I like children, and I do plan on having my own one day, but I don't plan on giving birth.
Whether I'm in a same-sex or opposite-sex relationship, I plan on adopting. I think there are too many children in this world without a family. By having my own, I'm automatically giving a child a good life--but by adopting, I'm giving someone a good life who would not have had it elsewhere.
I may consider having one of my own one day if I have the option, but personally I would rather adopt.

There are two different ways of "thinking" about bisexuals...
In most cases, it is true that they find the beauty of BOTH sexes - and try to find a partner who fills whatever "role" is missing in their own lives.
As for children, our society will eventually FORCE them to accept at least some of the "traditional" gender roles - so at least a small dose of "reality" (as in "how the rest of the world sees things") is needed.
There is no reason why same-sex couples shouldn't have kids - either through adoption, a previous partner, or other methods (like artificial insemination).
But in some other cases, bisexuality is only a sexual thing - in essense, they will sleep with just about anybody!

Being bisexual is not something you choose but rather something you are born with. That is your sexuality.
Your sexuality has little to do with your desire to have children. Some straight, gay, bisexual and queer people desire to have children while other straight, gay or bisexual people choose not to.
What about heterosexual couples who physically cannot have children? There is always the option of adoption or a surrogate mother. These options are also available to people who identify as gay.

Yes they do. It's just like homosexuals who wish to have children in a same sex relationship. They just adopt or (if they are women) go to a sperm bank and one of them has the baby.

As you said, bi people is just looking for someone they love, and for love, we sacrifice. It's only the matter of choice, what do you want more, the person you truly love? or a family.

my cousin is bisexual and one time asked her about the whole kid thing and she told me that if ur bisexual and u r in love then u dont care abt the having kids part. she said that they can always adopt kids. and if they are bisexual then they do like the other sex too so idk maybe they could hav a kid with the opposite sex and then break up with them and be with the same sex? well i dont know it sounds smarter in my head. thats the best answer i can give you. ;)

some bisexuals do have children. but the transexual bi faction have gone a step farther. they can be guys to the girls, and girls for the guys , while giving the finger to the hypocrites lies.
