NO!

That is akin to blasphemy.

There is nothing more that you can say and it will be a hideous failure

La Dolce Vita was a reflection of its specific era, created by one of the world's best directors, Federico Fellini.

Although one could conceivably make a remake set in the present, since the basic story of the journalist caught up in and eventually trapped in the sweet life is still a valid issue in today's world, I don't know if there's a living film-maker who could pull it off who has anywhere near Fellini's visual or creative genius.

If anyone does try it, I'd be willing to look at it, but when there are millions of other dreams and stories yet to be filmed, why remake a film that is valid for all generations?
