My name is Travis, and I hear it and Trevor ALL of the time. So I'd have to disagree with you on that one.

Mary.

It's been popular for centuries, but it's not even on the top 100 list now. It's like after the 60s, complete bust. However, variations of mary have become popular.

For girls: Cheryl, Amy, Kimberly, Peggy, Gail, Susan, Martha, Lori, Mary, Stepanie, were all really popular about 30-40 years ago... you hardly ever hear them for new babies.

For boys: Robert, Michael, Steven, Timothy, Paul, Bradley, William (Bill), Phillip, Gary, Scott ... were all classic, popular names 30-40 years ago for new babies... rarely hear them anymore.

Myrtle, Martha, Murtha (my Grandma's), Patricia, Donna, Louise,
Wallace, Leonard, Carldon (Grandpa's),
I live in Florida and still hear a lot of the old names but they are not being given to newborns.
