I think I must have been about 20. I was in the Navy and no one was any cooler than anyone else. It wasn't allowed. In watching my daughter-in-law, who is 23 and still thinks she is cool, I have decided it should stop in high school. Cool is a nerdy state of mind, nothing more. It tends to get on people's nerves after a while.

When I was about 20 and I saw most of the people I used to hang out with stuck in dead end jobs, no ambitions, no goals, no direction. I had a college degree which didn't make me any better than them, I just realized that maybe they should've spent a little more time getting somewhere in life instead of judging everyone they came in contact with. That was exactly when I quit caring.

Honestly; I've always been just naturally cool, some people are born with it, people gravitate to me, which can really put you on emotional overload if you don't hibernate allot; which I do.....but as far as caring about it. I was probably 21-22 years old when I thought who cares, this is who I am......read my 360 page, one of my favorite quotes is:

Never really cared much in the first place. Most "cool" people are losers in my opinion, and so are people who are more concerned about trying to be cool than being true to themselves.

I really don't care about that. I just take every single day and be the best that I can!! If a person starts trying to act cool it makes them look fake!

I'd say 22 or 23. That's when I started to love myself. I realized that, as long as I am happy with who I am, the people who are meant to be a part of my life are there!

I think it was a long time ago. i even go crazy on the dance floor now because I feel good about me and I don't care if i am having a good time
