I have no idea which way is best. So before I pick, I tho I ask for your help.
Which way would you set your profile?
Public or Friends Only?
I like public where other people can view my profile, but they can be trouble and try to get my password somehow.
But on the other hand, I like the friend only where only the people I trust can view me.
So, I have no idea.
Which one do you believe is best?

I have my page set to private for friends only. There are too many weirdo's around. Also before my page was private I was getting alot of sick perverted messages . When it's private YOU have the control. It's a safe way!

Well think of it this way. If you are putting information on a public site, even if it is private, your friends can still take advantage of you. It doesnt matter if you are public or private, people will be viewing your profile.
So I say, you should make it public... just make sure all personal things about you are in personal messages. (You can also hide your comments and top friends with html, if you think that would be a problem)

i dont think public view makes you more easily hacked, they hack your account when you type your password into a fake myspace login , usually those come out of nowhere, you have to check the address bar an make sure it says myspace.com before you type your password in to be sure. that being said public view is better because old friends can find you , friends find me all the time that im glad they did, an they wouldnt have if i had mine private

i have my profile private. * friends only* just because i dont want certain people looking at my profile. theres no way someone can hack into my account because i have a certain password that makes it difficult to break.
And as for people looking for me they can, they just message me and ask me if im so and so, but also alot of my friends have found me thru other friends so its not a big deal really. =]

My husband and I each had a MySpace page. Our settings were on Friends Only and we both ended up with a hacker. We closed them down.

I use friends only, but there are still ways for hackers and crap to send you messages. Just with friends only, it takes more time, and you are a whole lot less likely to get as many.
