Is it fair that countries like Canada, France, and the US should benefit from nuclear power plants and then deny these same benefits to Iran? We are allies with countries that have nuclear capability and energy such as Israel, India, Pakistan. I think a decision should be made to offer Iran cheap energy in exchange for their cooperation in ending their nuclear program and allowing inspectors in.

I really am not sure what brought on your fanatical rant. I am saying the world can convince Iran to END their nuclear program by offering something they want, cheap and reliable energy. I also said they should allow inspectors in to prove they have shut down these facilities. Surely you agree that inspectors being on the ground will decrease the liklihood of them ending up with a nuke.

I wouldn't help them, but there's not much we can do to stop them (short of going to war).

We need to come to the realization that many more countries are going to have nuclear capability in the coming years. We can't stop everybody.

So. Our deterrent should be the threat of total annihilation of any country that detonates a bomb on us. No rebuilding, No financial aid, no negotiating, no policing, no war, just total and complete annihilation.

Iran will deplete its domestic supplies of petroleum within 20 years. Perhaps in those next two decades there will be some sort of rational regime come to power in Tehran. But, we are witness to a current lay leader of that nation who fashions hmself as a modern day version of Xerxes or Cyrus the Great, hoping to re-create the Persian Empire of old. The current gasoline riots are a good sign that the Iranians may be getting fed up with being ruled by irrational despots who will only succeed in having the Koran being read by candle light in the near future.

Iran is one of the countries who have signed the nuclear non proliferation treaty and according to this they have all the right to a nuclear program as long as it is in peaceful purposes only...Now no one can prove the contrary ,so I see no reason to try to stop Iran from getting something it has the right to...Iran shouldn't end it's nuclear program as long as it respects the treaty...
"... all Parties to the Treaty are entitled to participate in the fullest possible exchange of scientific information for, and to contribute alone or in co-operation with other States to, the further development of the applications of atomic energy for peaceful purposes"...

Iran wants nuclear power for one reason ,if you don't see this then you need to remove your blinders. They have repeated several times on live television that they will annihilate the state of Israel, that my friend would not be a good thing for this planet. That would start a war that the strongest souls would quiver and cry.We must intervene before it is to late. The other nations that you speak about haven't been threatening to nuke some nation as Iran has.

You are in right track. But you should know, IAEA inspectors are in Iran countinuously. Iran just canceled some inspectes which didn't related to IAEA rules and those were a part of US pressures on IAEA against Iran.

Iran has right to has been nuclear peaceful power stations and researching on atomic energy.

The world has some facilities to achieve out facts, such as "United Nations" and "International Atomic Energy Agency".
Also Iran lets them to do a lot of researches about its ability and goals.
"IAEA" inspectors have done a lot of inspects in all of places where they wanted, even military stations.

> Iran is one of "IAEA" members for a long time and always observe all of international rules, So Iran has right to doing research on atomic technology and make some nuclear power stations depend on "IAEA" rules for researching and producing electricity.

>> Iran can't trust to other countries for giving it nuclear fuels. In the past they didn't faithful in their promise and agreements. North Korea is good sample. They promise them to giving light-water power station and fuel but they (US and Western countries) didn't do it. Thus Iran can't trust to unfaithful countries.

Also Iran has some other projects to work on other energy sources like wind turbins in "Rood bar_North of Iran", Solar cells "Kerman & Isfahan_Center of country", Hydro power sources "The most of country", Natural Gas, etc.

Why should we offer them anything? We are not a psycho country, lead by a psycho leader who is probably as dangerous as a snake. We wouldn't attack any country just because of their religion ~ yet I think Iran would.

Yes, they are entitled to the energy. I thought a deal was already offered to them similar to what you proposed.
