its your baby and your choice i feed my son soy because i have to because of lactose intolerant. if you have the soy formula i would use it. there is nothing that says you can't feed your baby soy unless he is allergic to soybean and some babies are but you wont know unless you give it to him.

I dont see any harm in feeding a baby soy if they didn't really need it but I would suggest regular formula. If the baby is lactose intolerant then obviously soy would be the way to go. But there shouldn't be any problems with the soy.

My daughter is 6 months old and she is still having soy formula. We started her on the regular formula but she was having problems with spitting up so we switched to the soy. So I don't see any reason why you can't give it to your baby for the first few months?

Soy formula doesn't hurt a baby, but switching back and forth between formula will upset their systems. Usually a doctor will want to put the baby on one formula and if they do well, it is not advised to switch them to something else.

Given that soy has been associated with developmental problems in baby boys, I would say NO unless the baby is lactose intolerant. Soy contains natural hormones, which is the problem.

Don't listen to the Breast Feeding Preachers.
Soy formula will not harm the baby. A pediatrician wouldn't advice us to give it to our kids if they knew they could get sued or be liable.
My little one was on soy for over twelve months no problem. It really helped him.

Breast is best but if not possible stick to one kind of formula if you can at least until the baby is 9 mths or older b/c if you switch formula around on the poor thing the baby will be miserable and so will the parents( can anyone say gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea) take it from me it won't be a pretty sight

I have a 3 week old that took similac advance for the first week then became fussy the dr told me to switch her to soy so now I give her isomil and she is doing great. My pediatrician said as long as it has dha and ara in it and say "with iron" it is fine. make sure you check the expiration dates on the formula you were given though

No, it is not good for a baby to drink soy milk formula for the first few months.
Human babies need to drink human milk. Would you feed a baby horse milk from a monkey?
All babies need and deserve their mothers milk. Very simple.
