No ... for two reasons.

1) It's pointlessly shoving two names into one. If you can't decide whether or not to name your daughter (I assume) Addison or Chantal, then at least leave a hyphen or space between the two. You can have a name with a space in it ... that way she's got two first names and if she decides to go by one or the other she can without much problem ... with AddisonChantal it's just one name.

2) The styles of the names are extremely different. Addison is a masculine surname (meaning "Son of Adam"), while Chantal is a trendy, uber-feminine name. They don't go well so close together.

I'd suggest either having two girls and giving each one of the names, giving two seperate first names, or giving one as a first and one as a middle name.

Apart from that, I absolutely hate the idea of giving a girl any name that has the word "son" in it. I can understand if the name doesn't mean son, but names like Addison and Madison actually mean "son of ...", I know that it's not exactly a teasing point ... I'm just none to fond of it.

No, sorry. I think you'd be pinning a mean name on the kid, especially once they get into high school and go to college, the standardized tests suck, so she'd have to fill in the bubbles until she ran out bubbles to fill in. I think Addison as the first name and Chantel as the middle name would suffice.

I only like the Addison part. Make Chantal the middle name.

NO. Addison is cute. Chantal would be a cute MIDDLE name, but together as a first name, I think it's too much.

What is the meaning of the name. Look at the child and the mother and the father and bring there name together and see what the outcome is? The name needs to have a good meaning, not just a name. Names such as
Shenandoah---- Indian chieftain
Samara--- Protected by God
Sojourner--- Great traveler
Let the name mean something good or important.

That's absolutely hideous. Just pick one for a first name and one for a middle name, it's really not that difficult.

I love the name Addison, but I don't like it with Chantel. Especially as one name...it's too long.
