Is Verizon Wireless a good cell phone carrier?

The service is good but very expensive. plus a 2 year contract. they add so many things. there is not base plan. they also charge 45 cents a minute on overeage. and Sprint, for example, changes $5 a month if you go over.
So VZ is very very expensive be cautious do lots of research. Do not go to the VZ store the sales people are slime and will charge and add things to your plan to get a commission. They are not to be trusted.
I am an ex VZ customer service person so aware of many things

Its a good carrier but it can be kinda pricy.
At the moment Cingular is above all the carriers it has the best service and the best plans. For 5 buks more u get unlimited texting. with verizon its like 20 somthng for unlimited.

Verizon is good, I have had them for 3 years. The only time I had trouble was when I went to Valdosta-for some reason I couldn't get a signal, but other than that, they're great

I would give them a giant thumbs down. When they were my carrier, they GAVE MY NUMBER AWAY! I paid my bill and everything... I couldn't make calls and everyone who called me reached some older woman who was very confused. I did not get an apology, even after staying on the phone with customer service for at least an hour. Also, they cripple all of their phone's software with their terrible interface. You are better off going with Cingular/ATT.

yes it. Ok verizon has the best coverage in america. in plus in doesnt geat bought out every year (NEXTEL CINGULAR). But a lil pricey. Great phone though. If u want a exact phone verizon has it.

Verizon generally has a solid network, but the cost can be very expensive. Plus, their customer service isn't necessarily the best.
I suggest you use PagePlus Cellular to get the network, but not the expensive prices.

yeah... the best carrier.. but the worsttt reps... at least near me.. do not kno what they are talking about some of them.. bad attitudes.. maybe near you its different so i alwasy have to just call the 1-800 # but i have to deal b/c they are the best in cell phone service
