It depends on your beliefs and where you live. If you live in a strongly religious are of the world then remaining a virgin can mean the difference between life and death. Some people consider virginity a valued commodity. I would say that most people in the U.S. don't consider virginity a deal breaker. ALbeit there are people that do.
There is a fallacy about marriage and sex. Most people had sex and even got pregnant way before they got married. What a lot of people do is get married as soon as they found out they conceived. Then they lie about the babys birth. Rarely does some one actually makes it to marriage as a virgin and then have kids after marriage you know the text book case. Just like most of us where not planned. That is right most of us came to be for various reason which was not planned parenthood. I mean a lot of people do plan these things but not everybody.
It is true that if you don't have sex you can't get std. What they forget to mention is that your partner may have not followed the same high standars of living. You may find yourself in a situation where you married and then lost your virginity and got an std for it. Or maybe your partner gave you an std after a couple of years of marriage because he/she was cheating on you.
It is really up to you. If you think the time is right and the person is right then go ahead. Ofcourse there are always consequences to our actions. You could get an std an unwanted pregnancy. That is all part of the deal. So, proceed with caution.
There is more to sex than just mr penis meets mrs vigina and mrs vigina invites mr penis "in" for a cup of cofee. There is also an emotional aspect. Different people deal with different situations differently. So, make sure you can handle the situation and what loosing your virginity means to you and also what it means to the other person. Don't think that the other person thinks the same way as you. A good policy for this is if in doubt don't do it.

I think it's great to stay a virgin until marriage but if something happens don't let it be the end of the world. I suggest that you stay strong and continue to wait until marriage.

I think people who have sex at a young age or with the wrong person is wrong. Waiting until marriage is the right thing to do for both men and women.

YES! You won't get STD's, you won't get your heart broken, and on your wedding night you'll have such a wonderful gift to give your husband! Besides, if you had sex with a guy, imagine if you're future husband was there...what would be thinking?? I think it's just plain smart and showing your future husband respect to wait until marriage.

No, I don't think so. There have been cases, although rare, where one partner is allergic to the other's body fluids. It's good to know that kind of thing before you make a commitment. ANd even virgins can get STDs, you guys. Haven't you ever heard of sharing needles, blood transfusions, and parasites like crabs which can just spread on their own?

If you are one.... stay that way. It does wonders for the trust issues in the years to come. Guys like not wondering when they meet your ex, if you've already slept with him, and it eliminates the fear of std's. Go for it.

I SAY HELL YES BECAUSE WHEN YOU DO GET MARRIED THERE WILL BE NO QUESTIONS OF WHO YOU SLEPT WITH OR HOW MANY PEOPLE AND IT WILL JUST MAKE YOU'RE PARTNER FEEL LIKE HE OR SHE IS THE ONLY ONE EVER WORTH IT! IM SURE THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE THAN YOU THINK THAT WISH THEY JUST WOULD'VE WAITED. SEX IS SUPPOSED TOBE SOMETHING SPECIAL YOU SHARE WITH SOMEONE NOT JUST A SICK LITTLE GAME! AND WHOEVER SAYS YOU SHOULD TEST THE WATERS IS A SLUT!!!!!!!!!!! THATS WHY THRE ARE SO MANY CASES OF STD'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
