What do you do?

If you don't love it, why are you still doing it?

What would you rather be doing?

wow! So far I'm amazed at how many YA folks enjoy what they do for work. Good for you. Add me to the list of happy workers.

I'm only 20 so I'm working to put myself through college.

I absolutely HATE my job. I take calls doing voice verifications, it's basically a spoken contract that goes along with the written contract. it's a load of....

BUT I have a somewhat decent outlook on it...this job is paying for my college where I have an amazing job already set up for when I graduate so I just have to suck it up and take this for now.

I like my job, because it's fairly laid back, and the people I work with are cool. I work in planning and production control at a vehicle maintenance facility for the Army. Really, the only thing I DON'T like about my job is that we should be making at least $4 an hour more than we do, but oh well. Unions... you know.

If it gets to the point that I hate my job, I'd like to be a correctional officer at a prison near here

I do love what I do. I'm a freelance writer. I work out of my home - make my own hours - set my own fees.

I started when my daughter was just a baby because I missed her (she had a babysitter, and I was in an office all day). I quit, and never looked back.

Now I work about 10 hours a week, make a full salary, and have plenty of time to myself. And my baby is now 18!

Always do what you love, and the money will come.

I used to love it and I was really good at it. Then I got promoted. I'm good at my new job but I hate it. I'm still doing it because I love the paycheck and I'll be eligible for another promotion in 18 months. Then I hope to get another job I love. This is temporary hell between the good stuff.

I like my job. I will say that there are other things that I would rather do but these things are in the same field. For example I would rather work in robotics. Rarely do I mind going to my job. I find it to be a good fit for me.

My job is something I love to do, I am a graphic layout artist, get to work with some really talented people and get to see my ideas put to work (sometimes) its a great team, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. I do love it.. but as with anything it does get to me sometimes and I crave to do something different... but when I think about what I would like to do...... it all comes back to what I do now... I would rather be with my grandchildren but thats not a job thats a joy ;)

I work nights at a supermarket. I'm quitting at the end of this month because it's not the right job for me, and the management appears incompetent.
