How do you retract bids on ebaay?

I ran into some unexpected bills and can not pay for what I bid on. Does anyone know how to retract a bid?

Go there, but you can only retract a bid under certain circumstances and you cannot retract if the item has ended

It's just like anything you buy, if you don't pay for it you get into trouble no matter what the reason. It will stay in your profile and Ebay could yank your registration because sellers need to know that if unexpected bills come up, you will not be paying for what you bought.
