Haha Smiley I can see that you didn't pay very much attention in 9th grade biology, because bacterium are definitely not the only single-celled organisms

The hope for mars is to find single cell organism. The hope for the jupiter moon europa is to find an ecosystem. I think it depends on where they plan to probe. Different envoroments different expectations.

First of all the only single cell organisms are bacteria. So ofcourse they are going to be complex creatures like the animals here on earth or even like the human kind. And of course there will be lots of them unless they reproduce asexually and even then there still no way there could only be one.
