People are always bashing the "homosexual lifestyle" but what IS the "homosexual lifestyle?" What makes homosexuality so immoral? They eat like straight people, they breathe the same air as straight people, they have jobs like straight people, but one thing is different...they love the same sex. They aren't having sexual intercourse in public, they don't go around asking people if they would like to join them in their sex life. So what makes homosexuality so immoral? I was raised to be Catholic and I believe I have a good understanding about morality. I can see why killing is immoral, I can see why stealing is immoral, I can see why harming anyone else is immoral (I've begun to see a pattern that most immoral things harm of others), but I just don’t see why someone’s sexual orientation is harming anyone else in any way. Is there anything in the Bible that talks about homosexuality? I have started to read it, but have not found anything yet. Please, tell me your thoughts.

You my friend are exactly right. What does the Bible really say about homosexuality? Actually, very little. Most significantly, Jesus said nothing at all. Considering the relatively small amount of attention the Bible pays to the subject, we must ask ourselves why this is such a volatile issue. Other subjects about which the scriptures say a great deal (e.g. judgment, pride, hypocrisy) receive much less passionate attention. Before looking at specific passages, it is important to note that everyone understands the scriptures based on, and through, the light of what they have been taught. The Bible was not written in a cultural void, and many of its instructions and laws are simply classified as less relevant today (e.g. prohibition against eating pork).
Nowhere does the Bible actually address the idea of persons being lesbian or gay. The statements are, without exception, directed to certain homosexual acts. Early writers had no understanding of homosexuality as a psychosexual orientation. That truth is a relatively recent discovery. The biblical authors were referring to homosexual acts performed by persons they assumed were heterosexuals

My dear Son, the Bible has 6 Admonitions against Homosexuality.
It also has 362 against Heterosexuality
That leaves a deficit of 356 Admonitions against the Straight Children of God
so it seems that God is FAR more worried about His Straight Children than His Gay ones.
The Bible is a lovely book if you like poetry and some out of touch rules (see Leviticus and anything by Paul...)
If the Christians would follow their own Savior -- who by the way said NOTHING about homosexuality and a great deal about loving ones neighbor -- the world would be a much better place. I personally like the Beatitudes.
Blessed are the Merciful.

Lots of Bible-thumpers love to quote from the book of Leviticus, regarding the immorality of "man laying down with man" and such.
I think most of what's in the Bible is a complete load of easily-overanalyzed horseshit, because tons of people love to live their lives following just the lessons they think apply to them. You know, like harrassing gay people because of what it says in Leviticus, but conveniently ignoring the lessons of doing unto others and judge not lest ye be judged. Piousness is often a mask for people to hide their prejudices.
The best lesson to take away from the Bible is to love your fellow man, sin or no sin. Then, if that fails, love. Then, if that fails, love again. When all else has been exhausted, LOVE. When that doesn't work... start all over again at the top.

To the top part of your question. There is some odd, out-dated throughly weird archetype of the 'homosexual lifestyle' more geared at gay men, then any other flavor of different orientation. I had a friend's mother find out he was gay and she came to me, before she talked to him, Thank God.
The conversation went like this.
"I can't believe my son is gay."
"Yes Mrs. ______, I've known for a while."
"Then why is he still at the Liturgy CLub meetings?"
"Well ma'am he's still the same boy he was yesterday, where else would he be."
"Don't *hushed whisper* they have to go out and... do... IT every night, tempt away other men, and do... oh.... horrible things... I can't even think about it..."
"Ma'am.... Those things are no more horrible then what you and Mr_______ do, and he isn't out... tempting or doing things... Your son doesn't believe in premarital sex."
"He could be lying to you too. I think Premarital sex is a must for *another hushed whisper* them. "
"No ma'am... I'm just as gay as he is and I don't believe in premarital sex"
"Oh goodness."
She's now a Proud Pride Mama. I love her. <3

i think the one argument that makes a tiny bit of sense is that homosexuality doesn't naturally lead to reproduction. but that is no real obstacle these days, with IVF and adoption and so forth there are many alternatives to natural reproduction. It's not like the one thing the world needs is even more humans, anyway.

Youll find reading the Bible interesting . It states that killing is wrong , but also orders certain people to be killed. Go figure. so you may say , well who does it say should be killed ? well the list is rather long . A facinating book , weird , but parts of it are beautiful . If your going to take it seriously tho, I hope you like feeling guilty ...

Homosexuality is a sexual preference which has absolutely nothing to do with morality.
