im looking for a starter home under $70,000... i am currently in central NC and prices are outrages where can i go not to far away and get a good starter home and a decent job? please advise

Why leave NC? Did you know that the Raleigh/Durham area was rated one of the least overpriced real estate markets in the country? And with Research Triangle Park there are tons of jobs. If you do not mind alittle fixing/updating of a home, there are tons of homes you can get for under $70,000 in this area.

Some of the Great Lakes region has very affordable housing and a good job market. If you can stand the snow.
